What Makes E-commerce Work

With the advent of the internet in the Information Age economy, people have access to the Great Equalizer tools known to man. It had probably affected or changed how people live and communicate as well as could be a great tool for business growth. I could see that the Internet has a long way to go and it could reorder the lifestlye of people, but with proper values and moral fibers in place it can be a wealth generating opportunity for every one who knows how to maximize its full potential.

I will just talk some of the points as one of the panelist of the One Internet Day in Cebu with more than 100 participants representing the educators, entrepreneurs, government employees, IT professionals, corporate personnel joined in this celebration organized by Janette Toral of the DigitalFilipino.com, which I am a member, and sponsored by DTI-Cebu, Primary Software, CyberPromdi, National Computer Center/Commission on Information and Communication Technology.

I passionately share the principles of network marketing as a people with common interest and how they share information back and forth. And we tend to forget that networking is as natural as breathing since when were young and as we continue to grow we always tend to do networking all of our lives: like promoting a good movie, good restaurants, good cellphones and toys etc. etc. Its the best word of mouth advertisement, a people to people business, and people buy from people whom they know and whom they trust.

For e-commerce to work being the business of the future, it needs the most experienced business model that we have 50 years ago- NETWORK MARKETING. Even though how high tech you are in your business applications and aggressively doing advertisement left and right online, what matters are people who cause traffics or hits, buys products, reorders products, be loyalty to your brands and to build lasting relationships. For e-commerce to work as a high tech tool, you need the network marketing as a high touch tool.

The marriage of the e-commerce and network marketing is like marriage made in heaven. Its the business of the future at the speed of light. I encourage everyone to reflect and think out of the box on how each one can participate in this booming industry called the internet in the e-Economy. We have to learn how to leveraged our time capitalizing 24 hours a day, as well as the massive growth it can reach. Always remember what John Naisbitt says "The bigger the world economy the more powerful is its smaller players".
